Crime Fiction Author

Biography

Woodrow Wilkins is a longtime journalist in print and broadcast media. He's a U.S. Navy veteran, having achieved the rank of Petty Officer Second Class

A native of Greenville, Mississippi, he has spent time in Florida, Illinois, Georgia, California and Nevada. Apart from writing, he enjoys music, community theater, movies, singing karaoke and, of course, reading.

Favorite authors include Stephen King, John Grisham, Dean Koontz and Michael Crichton. And sports, mostly football. He was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs decades before anyone heard of Patrick Mahomes. "Delta Blue" was his first novel, with "Innocent Souls" picking up where the former left off. He promises more to come.

Writing Philosophy

“There’s no such thing as writer’s block. This ship will occasionally run into troubled waters. As the captain, I might change course, but I will never let it run aground.”

"I believe every crime story is ultimately about truth—not just the truth of what happened, but the deeper truths about who we are. My characters aren't just solving cases; they're confronting the shadows within themselves and the communities they serve. That's what makes crime fiction so powerful."
